Between Good Friday and EasterMost of us know the events of Good Friday, when Christ was crucified, and Easter, when He arose from the dead. But what of
Saturday? Our Bibles tell us only a bit about the events of that day, when Christ was in the tomb. We do know that the
chief priests went to Pilate to have a guard of Roman soldiers posted at the tomb. Also, a seal was placed on the stone that
blocked the entrance of the tomb (Matthew 27:62-66). We also know that late Saturday -- after the Jewish sabbath
was over -- Mary Magdalene, Salome and Mary, the mother of James, purchased spices to anoint the body. (Mark 16:1)

What do you say...How can you best respond to fellow students about your belief in Christ? The apostle Peter lays out the guidelines in this
passage: "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Aways be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks
you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so
that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. It is better, if it
is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil." -- 1 Peter 3:15-17
